Why the Nets will win the title, one name: James Harden.

With the addition of James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets, they added a dimension to their team that I’m not sure the Nets have ever seen. James Harden is happy, Kyrie Irving is happy, Kevin Durant is happy…for now. If they can keep their playing and unselfish play rolling along, I’m not sure the Nets can be beat and Brooklyn gets their first title since 1955.

So how much of an impact has Harden had on the Nets? Let’s see, it’s the first time in team history they’ve had 3 All-Stars. How Harden is a reserve is probably because of some of his behavior off the court. How you can’t add him as a starter for his on-court play is beyond me. Harden is averaging 24.9 points per game, shooting 50.1% from the floor, including 41% from beyond the arc. The biggest impact, how he’s made everyone around him BETTER. He’s averaging 8.3 rebounds per game, on pace for a career high, and the most staggering stat: 11.4 assists! He’s so hard to defend he demands 2 players, which is making the rest of his team step up. Irving and Durant have become even better because they have that 3rd player to pull defense off of them…making both of them All-Stars, Durant the Captain.

The Nets are 13-5 since Harden plays and the team is 5-1 when he starts with KD and Kyrie. This is their year, this is their chance to shine. Lakers are stumbling and Nets are rising. Bring home the title!
